Venture Forward Partners Names Gino Romano Director of Lab Services

Venture Forward is proud to announce Gino Romano as Director of Lab Services. Gino comes to the firm with a well-established reputation in Boston-area biotech for outstanding leadership, project management, organization, responsive problem-solving and great relationships. In his role as Director of Lab Services, he’ll be overseeing operations for multiple clients and leading a team of talented support staff.   

“With his decade-plus track record of real laboratory operations, Gino Romano has extensive experience dealing with biotech’s complexities and implementing an array of solutions in terms of design and function for both established and startup enterprises. He has the right perspective and approach for Venture Forward, and a clear understanding of what lab operations teams really need to succeed. Gino has been involved in every aspect of lab management and operations — from design, buildout and procurement to compliance and staffing. Additionally, he has played active roles in scaling and transitioning labs for mergers as well as growth. He stresses the importance of adaptability and flexibility when it comes to the demands on researchers today.

“A lab operations team with the ability to accurately forecast, implement and pivot quickly to meet scientific demand will ensure productivity and lab efficiencies are met,” he said. “As part of the Venture Forward team, I’m looking forward to providing clients with a strong foundation to develop upon and continue to grow with them. A graduate of Nichols College, Gino Romano obtained his B.S. in Business Administration. He is certified in OSHA, HAZWOPER, and DOT Hazardous Materials and has a wide range of skills in lab operations and management, as well as negotiation, sales, biotechnology, purchasing and market research.
